CUT-OFF WHEELS Available in two types viz. Plain and Reinforced . These are also known as parting wheels or notching wheels. Plain cutting-off wheels are used in tool-room, chemical Labs, etc; Where the metallurgical samples are tested for the chemical composition. Recommended spindle speed is 60m/s. Reinforced cutting –off wheels are backed with glass fibre discs for safety purpose. These wheels can be operated safely at 80 m/s spindle speed. These wheels are used for production jobs where the cutting operation is rough.
